CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION

The firm has expertise in bringing and defending claims made under the Construction Contracts Act (“the Act”). Its focus in such matters is to secure a cost effective outcome for participants in such claims.

From 1 September 2016 services performed by the following construction professionals will be subject to the Act:

  • Architects;

  • Quantity Surveyors; and

  • Engineers.

Claims are now able to be brought in respect of breaches of contract (s25(2)), including damages claims.
